OT Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning

Recovery plans that bring the plant back, not just the servers — OT-specific RTO/RPO, proven controller restores, and continuity built around what production actually needs.

Most OT disaster recovery plans are IT plans with the word OT pasted on top. RTO and RPO targets get inherited from the data center. Backups exist but nobody has restored a PLC in two years. The continuity plan assumes ERP is the critical path, when the critical path is a controller on the line.

This service builds recovery around the plant. We set OT-specific RTO and RPO, prove restores on real controllers and HMIs, and write continuity plans around the systems production actually depends on.

You get a recovery plan that brings the plant back — tested, plant-specific, and tracked in Resilion so it stays current instead of aging in a binder.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t we use our IT disaster recovery plan for OT?
IT DR inherits RTO/RPO from the data center and assumes ERP is the critical path. On the plant floor the critical path is a controller, and a backup nobody has restored in two years is not a plan. OT DR/BC has to be built around production recovery and proven by test.
What does the engagement produce?
OT-specific recovery objectives, tested restore procedures for controllers and HMIs, and continuity plans built around the systems production cannot run without — sequenced and tracked in Resilion.
